In 2020 we are currently experiencing a unique situation with a global pandemic. I had this ritual written about an event a few years ago but felt this was a unique opportunity to write about a situation that is rare and many of us may not experience again. Or well I hope we don’t experience again. This was the first of many to come rituals to be done online in a virtual setting. For Groves and communities to practice safely this was really the only option. Many religious organizations at this time had to close down their community connections and move ceremonies to a virtual place.

This ritual for our grove was hosted by Marc and Lily over zoom. Obviously it lacked the normal connection we would have with the earth, tree and well as those would be located at different peoples homes but it did bring together the grove for a enjoyable community event. We have since agreed to do rituals together and then go do them solitary on our own to find that connection. Obviously this will never replace the wonderful get togethers we have but in the mean time it will need to do.
